Fiocchi Ammunition 150 Grain Pointed Soft-Point (PSP) Ammo Details

We’re not really attuned to the current zeitgeist, but we’re sure every American can agree on at least one thing: everyone should own a 30-06 rifle and regularly use it for hunting. If we’re wrong about that, then we don’t want to be right.

Fiocchi is loading ammo anyone can use to get out there and score some free venison and rashers of wild hog bacon. This cartridge’s 150 grain pointed soft point isn’t so sophisticated that you’d hate yourself for using it for target practice. Its light weight and streamlined frontal profile grant it a fairly flat overall trajectory – one that climaxes at about 5.4” en route to 300 yards (assuming 1.5” sight height; .38 G1 BC). The PSP’s exposed lead core equips it for rapid terminal expansion; its tough jacket promotes the weight retention needed to secure a deep wound channel.

These all-purpose medium game loads are made in the heart of Missouri with new brass, noncorrosive Boxers and carefully controlled charges of low-fouling powder. Know what’s even better than one box of this ammo? Multiple boxes. Just sayin’.

Shoots well. Smoother than the 180 grain I previously was using no doubt. Can’t wait to put a buck down with it (hopefully this weekend)!
