Winchester Ammunition 35 Grain Polymer Tipped Ammo Details

The varmints think they have free reign out there. You’re about to prove them wrong, because you have a rifle chambered for 5.56x45 and/or 223 Rem and you have just located the Winchester Ballistic Silvertip ammunition.

This round’s bullet is extremely light at 35 grains. It’s accordingly going to achieve a ripping fast muzzle velocity of 3,800 fps and proceed to display an incredibly flat trajectory. The bullet’s aerodynamic polymer tip and sleek jacket both do their parts to reduce drag, which even further enhances the round’s short-to-medium range accuracy.

Why is the bullet so light? Because it hasn’t got any lead to weigh it down! That’s right – this ammo’s bullets are lead-free, so they’re legal for hunting in areas with restrictive ammo policies and they won’t harm the scavengers that so graciously appear to clean up the carnage you leave behind.

The bullet’s certainly not going easy on whichever animal it actually hits, however. Its tip smashes down into its core on impact to initiate explosive and positively deadly terminal fragmentation.

This ammo’s nickel-plated brass cases help it to feed and extract with greater efficiency in all types of rifles, semi-auto or otherwise. Nickel also repels the corrosion that can result from hunting in damp weather. What nickel doesn’t do is make Winchester’s brass non-reloadable!
