The 220 Swift – a rifle cartridge that boasts so much speed it has it built right into its name! Chamber this ammo by Remington and enjoy the flat, deadly trajectory you need to send varmints packing their bags for good.This round’s 50 grain bullet is loaded to a crackling fast muzzle velocity of 3,780 fps. Its sharp meplat enhances the aerodynamic bullet’s ballistic coefficient to 0.175 – not bad, for something so lightweight! With those kinds of numbers on its side you can expect the bullet to travel at around 1,350 fps at 500 yards and still deliver approximately 200 ft lbs of energy.
A pointed soft point bullet makes efficient use of so much energy, even at lower velocities. Expect the bullet’s core and jacket to peel back upon entry, enhancing the width of its wound channel whilst simultaneously transferring its force in outward directions.
