Winchester Super Suppressed 300 AAC Blackout ammunition is designed to give any suppressed rifle outstanding performance. But even if you haven’t yet sprung for a “can,” this ammo will let you enjoy quieter range practice!

This round’s muzzle velocity clocks in at 1,060 fps. That’s 65 fps slower than the speed of sound, so the bullet cannot register a sharp supersonic crack when it clears the muzzle. Winchester did not achieve reliable subsonic performance by giving this round a weak powder charge. Instead they loaded the cartridge with a bulky 200 grain bullet.

The open tip is designed solely for accuracy – it cannot produce terminal expansion. The bullet’s copper jacket fully encapsulates its base. That keeps the flat surface undeformed while white hot propellant gasses are pushing against it. It also prevents heat from aerosolizing lead during ignition, which will keep a barrel and a suppressor both cleaner! The open tip’s solid lead core was poured into place while it was molten. The core accordingly possesses no voids which could impact in-flight stability.
