Duck hunting isn’t a sport. It’s not a pastime or a hobby, either. It is a way of life. More importantly, it is your way of life, which is why you should never deprive yourself of a healthy supply of 12 Gauge duck hunting ammunition.

Fiocchi didn’t reinvent the wheel (or, more accurately, the duck hunting shotshell) when they loaded this ammo. It’s a 3” magnum load, with the added volume it needs to encompass an extra-large dose of shot. At 1-1/5 ounces, its payload of #2 steel equals 150 individual nontoxic 0.15” pellets. Steel’s not nearly as dense as lead, but that shortcoming is well compensated for by this shell’s truly zippy muzzle velocity of 1,550 fps.

This ammo features full-length protective plastic wads, satisfactorily clean-burning powder, and green tubes with heads that are just shy of 0.65” tall. It comes packaged in a convenient box of 100 – enough to last you all day – and despite what its brand name suggests, this ammo is actually made in Missouri (which is also a very good state).
