50 BMG Federal American Eagle XM17C 618 Grain Tactical Red Tracer Ammo – 10 Rounds
This new production ammunition is manufactured by Federal American Eagle at the Lake City Ammunition Plant in Independence, Missouri. Loaded to true military specs, this tracer ammunition generates immediate feedback on shot trajectory and also provides an effective tool for signaling. Originally developed for military shooters, tactical red tracer ammo is also fun to shoot for civilian applications, including steel target shooting and recreational nighttime shooting.
This package contains 10 rounds of Federal American Eagle .50 BMG ammunition. Each round is loaded with a massive 618 grain tactical red tracer projectile. Each of these specially-designed projectiles features al pyrotechnic charge at its base. This pyrotechnic charge ignites to produce a trail of red light when the primer ignites the propellant powders. These are delayed ignition tracers meant to visibly ignite 50 to 100 yards from the muzzle. This prevents the tracers from burning up gun barrels, potentially causing damage to expensive firearms.
This ammunition is non-corrosive, boxer primed, and features a premium reloadable Lake CIty brass casing. These rounds provide hours of fun, recreational shooting. However, red tip tracer ammunition is live ammunition and should be treated with all standard shooting precautions. These specialty rounds may pose a mild fire hazard. Use with caution, particularly when firing near dry vegetation or other combustible materials.
