10rds – 12 Gauge Hornady Zombie Max 2-3/4" 8 Pellet 00 Buckshot Ammo
10rds – 12 Gauge Hornady Zombie Max 2-3/4" 8 Pellet 00 Buckshot Ammo Details
• Ophiocordyceps - A parasitic fungus that hijacks ants’ brains, causing them to clamp onto the tips of leaves where their dead bodies will spread spores more effectively.• Nematomorpha - A worm that forces its host insect to drown in water, so the worm can emerge in its aquatic habitat.
• Toxoplasma gondii - A protozoan that infects rodents and reduces their fear of cats, causing them to get eaten, which is requisite for the next phase in the parasite’s life cycle.
We’re only pointing out the existence of such horrific creatures for one reason. Unlikely though it may seem, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that zombified humans may one day become a real thing. And should that happen, you’ll be glad you stocked up on Hornady Zombie Max 12 Gauge ammunition ahead of time.
This shell has one neat trick that destroys zombies: eight pellets of rigid, lead-alloy 00 buckshot, plus the 1,600 fps muzzle velocity that spells brain-splattering results on the undead.
That language is a little more graphic than our product descriptions usually contain, but that’s OK! This ammo is exclusively marketed for the sole purpose of exterminating zombies. Though it may be identical to several other home defense and deer hunting loads, its sole intended application is zombie splatterfication.

This ammo works well. Decent grouping. For me though, not really worth the price when there is equal performance with less cost out there.

Ok so the whole "zombie" theme is starting to get really stupid and old now at this point and the fact that Hornady is using this as a gimmick to sell ammunition is even stupid(er) still. If you can get past the ridiculousness of the box that these shells come in though, I think you'll find that this is some really good stuff with one drawback. It aint no got dang 2 and tree quarters. Not even close. In fact, if you whip out ye olde tape measure, you'll find that its barely 2 1/4 long from end to end. I dont know if this would or could cause issues in whatever shoot em gun you're gonna be puttin them in, but just be aware of it in case a "shorter than advertised" shell has done that to you in the past or something. Usually it's the other way around with a shell stating its 2 3/4 and being slightly longer and not wanting to feed properly because of it. Other than that, the stuff is plenty spicy at 1600fps and works really, Really, REALLY well in my Saiga 12. I'd go with Winchester's military grade 9 pellet OO buck over this when its available though but this stuff does work well albeit pretty expensive at $15 a box+shipping. Supply and demand tho right.....Have fun kids and be safe
