Solid ear plugs. They do exactly what they say they will by stopping the gun blast, but still allowing you to hear conversation without a struggle. They only draw back I noticed is that they fit better when I put them in reversed, meaning the right one in my left ear and vice versa, but I would definitely recommend them.
