Stoke your scattergun with the tightest patterning buckshot load known to man when you buy these 12 gauge shells from Federal Premium Ammunition. Each of these Law Enforcement labeled shotshells is built using high a strength hull, purpose-made Alliant powder, a clean-igniting 209 primer, and 8 pellets of 00 buckshot sitting on top of Federal's exclusive FliteControl Wad. Top quality copper plating along with fine, powdered buffering media keep the pellets from deforming while being forced down the barrel so that they maintain their round shape and travel farther without the risk of fliers.

The Federal FliteControl Wad is design to exit the muzzle with the shot in order to keep it contained in a small, focused cluster. After a few yards of the travel, petals in the rear of the wad open up and create an air-braking effect which slows the wad down and allows the 8 pellets to travel forward unhindered. The resulting tight pattern has been tested and proven to land all pellets on IPSC and IDPA silhouettes at 25 yards out of most conventional barrel lengths. Whether you own a shotgun for home defense, or keep one "cruiser-ready" on the job, you can trust that these rounds will have a more devastating effect on target while extending your effective range.

I'm using this ammo in a 870 Remington Marine and with the short barrel I need a tighter pattern than most 00 buckshot shells provide. Federal flight control really keeps a tight pattern at the home defense ranges I will be using it. This is the best and I was pleased to find it at Ammunition to Go because nobody in my area had it.
