I've been a Remington guy for over 40 years. In fact I've never hunted with a slug or rifle. However when I saw the tac 8 I have to admit I was hesitant so I only bought two boxes just to see how they would pattern in my particular shotgun. When hunting with buckshot you to be very diciplined when taking your shot , know your gun and how it patterns and just hunt like you bow hunt. I don't hunt with anything fancy , just a fox double barrel Sterling edition....it's never let me down. Folks say "buckshot just doesn't have the power"....last year I shot a 215lb 6point at 32 yards and all 8 pellets made a complete pass through... needless to say I was very surprised. I've tried the federal flight control and it's good stuff , but so is the tac 8. So if your a die-hard buckshot guy give it a try....you just may be surprised.
