Israeli Military Industries 150 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details

We don’t know very much about Israel. We assume they have very good matzo ball soup there. We also assume they take their military’s ammunition production very seriously, considering who their neighbors are. But we do know IMI’s 7.62x51ammo is a great solution for any kind of target practice!

This round is outfitted with a lightweight 150 grain bullet, like what the U.S. Armed Forces would have used before adopting the M80 round’s lighter projectile. As an FMJ you’ll find the bullet poorly equipped to take a deer, although it’ll hold its own for self-defense even if it can’t deliver terminal expansion. This is a nonmagnetic bullet, so it poses less risk of creating sparks or a ricochet at indoor ranges.

Israel doesn’t want to leave their guys high and dry during a firefight with inferior ammo. That’s why IMI loads non-corrosive military-grade primers, consistent charges of propellant, and freshly minted brass cases. You can reload those cases if you like, at which point you’ll have American-made ammo.
