We love Federal’s Top Gun line of ammunition, but we also feel a little bad every time we see its name. That’s not its fault even remotely, of course -- it’s not like Federal meant to associate their ammo with a movie with one of the most tragic death scenes of all time. Poor Goose!

But the smile always returns to our face when we fire one of these shells. Federal makes their budget-friendly lead shot good and hard, so this shell’s #7.5 pellets keep their shape during ignition to pattern tightly after leaving the muzzle. Their carefully measured propellant and high quality primer ensure similarly consistent performance, and their wad does a great job of pushing the shot through the barrel in the same fashion every time. This shell’s hull is crimped perfectly, and deserves to be reloaded once emptied. And because this shell’s shot is as great a winner for sporting as it is taking upland game, you’ll be able to enjoy it wherever you roam.
