Technically, anything you shoot with this 12 Gauge shotshell by Winchester is going to have a ball. Nine balls, to be more precise – each 1/3” in diameter, made of solid lead and potentially traveling faster than the speed of sound.

This shell is loaded with 00 buckshot, the shot pellet of choice for hunting whitetail and ridding your home of people who intend to do extremely horrible things to you. A couple extra features ensure a tighter, more effective pattern. Such a hard lead shot pellet does a great job of resisting deformation, and it also penetrates deeply through soft tissue. And because this shell’s shot column includes granulated buffering, it’s well protected against recoil energy which could have flattened out the shot pellets and caused them to miss their target altogether.

This ammo’s wads create effective gas seals during ignition to ensure steady muzzle velocities. Its primers and powder are set to deliver a decidedly high muzzle velocity – 1,325 fps, which gives each shot pellet its own muzzle energy of approximately 210 ft lbs.
