This cartridge’s 135 grain projectile is a good old-fashioned full metal jacket. We wouldn’t like to get hit by a bullet that clears the muzzle with over 2,000 ft lbs of kinetic energy, but the FMJ won’t deliver the terminal expansion that you want on your side when you’re hunting medium game. Sig was gracious enough to provide this round’s muzzle velocity out of two different test barrel lengths: 16” = 2,750 fps; 24” = 3,000 fps.

Elite Ball series cartridges feature temperature stable propellant, which means you can anticipate consistent performance across a broad range of ambient temperatures. These rounds are also loaded with the same brass cases that Sig uses for their Elite Match series ammo.
