The abnormally tough bullet will lose no more than 5% of its weight as it plunges into soft tissue, and its inability to produce lead fouling will help conserve your rifle’s accuracy while you’re hunting far from home.

The CX also features what Hornady calls “optimum groove geometry,” which further reduces fouling before it enhances the bullet’s ballistic efficiency. The CX’s Heat Shield tip will not deform once it has been accelerated to nearly Mach 3 velocity, thus assuring the bullet retains its sharp and aerodynamic meplat.
