20rds - .223 Hornady TAP LE 60gr. Urban Tactical Ammo

Hornady Ammunition 60 Grain Polymer Tipped Ammo Details

Hornady is one of the most respected names in the ammunition industry. Founded in 1949, Hornady has grown from a simple two-man operation to a world-leading innovator of ammo technology.

This ammunition is perfect for use in short barrel rifles and AR pistols, offering consistent pinpoint accuracy from bolt-action and semi-automatic weapons. Each of these 20 rounds is loaded with a 60 grain Urban Tactical projectile featuring a special soft polymer tip. This unique design delivers rapid expansion with massive fragmentation, creating a dramatic wound cavity. Ideal for use in urban settings, Hornady TAP LE is engineered to prevent dangerous over-penetration and hard-surface ricochet in most urban defense situations.

Factory fresh, this ammunition features high-quality brass casings, non-corrosive boxer primers, and temperature-stable, flash-retardant powders. Delivering 100% energy transfer to target, these loads provide instant terminal results, reducing the need for repeat shots.

This Hornady TAP LE .223 ammunition leaves the muzzle at 2623 feet per second with a muzzle energy of 917 foot pounds. Hornady Urban Tactical ammo was designed specifically for tactical teams, snipers, and LEOs. With reliable terminal performance and pinpoint accuracy, these loads are also appropriate for several civilian applications. We also carry this in the full 200 round case – you can find that .223 option here.

It will shoot repeated three shot groups of 3/8" at 100 yards (benchrest) from my Remington Model 78, 3X9 Weaver scope. Can't tell you about expansion, except they don't exit coyotes, so they must expand pretty well.
