Winchester Ammunition 125 Grain Open Tip Ammo Details

No civilization can exist until its people have developed a desire for accuracy. It is what makes buildings stand upright. It is what makes machinery tick. And when you want to shoot something at long range, accuracy is nonnegotiable.

Winchester’s USA series 6.5 Creedmoor ammunition isn’t on par with the expensive match grade loads, but it is still accurate enough to punch impressively tight groups. This round’s 125 grain open tip projectile features a flat base, evenly distributed lead core, concentric alloy jacket and narrow nose profile. All of these features combine to give the bullet a 0.371 G1 ballistic coefficient – sufficient to keep its velocity supersonic beyond 900 yards. The open tip is not to be mistaken for a hunting bullet, as its nose cavity is not in fact designed to initiate terminal expansion. (Regardless of that, you can use this ammo to pop small and fragile varmints.)

This ammunition is made in Illinois with new and reloadable brass cases, high-quality noncorrosive primers, and clean-burning powder. It is packaged 10 boxes per case of 200 rounds.
