Full Metal Jacket
Full metal jacket or "FMJ" 45 GAP ammo is a rimless, straight-walled, pistol cartridge developed by CCI/Speer engineer Ernest Durham for use in the Glock 37 pistol. The idea was to create a cartridge that could match the power of 45 ACP but could be fired from a smaller, 9mm-sized handgun.
Full metal jacket factory loads for 45 GAP pistols are readily available from several different manufacturers in 185 grain, 200 grain, and 230 grain weights with both round nose and flat nose designs for those who require extra reliable feeding and deep penetration of targets.
