And women, well, \u201cDuke\u201d died in 1979. So, you can\u2019t have<\/em> him either.<\/p>\n But there\u2019s good news for all: you can shoot like him\u2026or at least shoot the same firearms and cartridges that he pretended<\/em> to shoot in his movies!<\/p>\n As any American worth their salt knows, John Wayne\u2019s movies were loaded with firepower. Arguably the most iconic American actor of all time packed some serious heat in his films. While we can\u2019t go over every weapon and cartridge used in all Wayne movies (he appeared in nearly 250 films<\/a>), we can look at some of the guns used in a handful of his films.<\/p>\n As you might expect, Wayne’s career had a healthy dose of firearms chambered in mil-spec calibers as well as those most commonly associated with the wild west. If it was ammo synonymous with revolvers or lever action rifles, Wayne probably handled it at some point.<\/p>\n After reading, you can pick up a box of shells and shoot like Wayne himself!
