Purchased a box of this cheap ammo and after about 4 clips in my colt combat elite the pistol was so gummed up that I could actually see the slide move as if it were in slow motion. When I got to round 30 or so the colt was so sticky that the rounds wouldn't even cycle. If you don't mind cleaning your gun "often" then go ahead and buy them, personally I go to the range to shot and have a good time, not to clean my gun on range clock.
The next time I went to the range I used some Winchester loads and after 50 rounds my pistol hardly showed any crud. Sometimes you do get what you pay for, and this is one of those times.

Cheap, Consistent, Decently Accurate, and a good Deal all around.

Ran fifty rounds through a properly throated and polished Springfield 1911. Having no experience with steel cased, notably sooty ammo at the time, I was worried about putting it through something other than my sks. However now I am incredibly impressed.<br />

50 rounds out of an old 45 that hadn't been properly cleaned or shot in over two years, with one stovepipe early on, and nothing else but good fun the rest of the day.

Just passed 500 rds through my MKiv 70. Bought the first 100 cause it was cheap and I could sweep up the cases trash and all and chunk it. Functions reliably and is accurate enough for kicking cans around. It does seem to be a little dirtier than some other ammo, but no dirtier than if I reload with Red-Dot or a like powder. With the money you save on ammo just buy a little more Hoppe's No.9. I have read in other places of people talking about a "red residue" around the firing pin hole on the slide, but did not notice it on the .45. Also have put about 300 rds of this through a S&W 3906 with like results.

I shot 150 rounds of this stuff through my Springer Mil Spec 1911. I knew it was steel-cased but I'm not one to baby my guns so I bit. I was pleasantly surprised - no hiccups and my gun was not very dirty for 150 rounds. Extractor and ejector do not look beat up as I thought they might.
