50rds – 22 WMR Armscor 40gr. JHP Ammo Details

Armscor started out in business in 1905 as a print shop in Manila, of all things. They began to sell imported hunting goods including ammunition, and eventually grew big enough to open an office in America in 1985. Now they churn out over 100 million rounds of ammo a year -- affordable stuff, to be sure, but in no way undeserving of use for any number of applications.

This 22 WMR cartridge’s chief use is for varmint hunting. Its 40 grain projectile’s partial jacket strengthens it for surer penetration through varmint hide, and controls the expansion that is next unleashed by its exposed core’s hollow point nose cavity. This round is SAAMI and CIP compliant, and features a low-friction nickel-plated brass casing, sensitive rimfire primer, and clean burning propellant. Run these rounds through either a pistol or a rifle and you’ll pleased with the result -- absolute varmint wasting power, but also something you can afford to shoot targets with as well.

I had purchased a Henry Lever action 22 magnum rifle, put a Nikon Prostaff 3-9×40mm scope on it. I had shot armscor 22lr ammo before and decided to break the Henry 22 magnum in with it. I did purchase the Armscor USA 22 magnum 40 grain ammunition, made in the USA, stay away from the Armscor made in the Philippines, coated with wax and it is messy in your hand and chamber. The break in of the Henry 22 magnum was great, the Henry put groups inside of a 1/4" at 50 yards shooting off of homemade sandbags. It shot so well it is my ammunition. Shoots as accurate as the CCI 40 grain 22 magnum ammo. Give it a try, your rifle/pistol will love the Armscor USA 22 magnum ammunition.
