    Ive used this ammo for years. There's really nothing that special about this ammo. But this brass polishes really nice when reloaded. It shoots just like any other 62 gr ammo. Nickel plated under all that purple dye. Does work great in properly functioning firearms, of course. But looks like now its becoming like a collector item now that the DHS contract for this ammo is gone.

    Federal has sold this load for many years (though not always in the same packaging). I've been using it for fox, bobcats, coyotes and as a general plinking round for about as long. While it's not the most accurate round out there, it does MOA in my CZ 527 and Rock River Coyote Rifle and so is plenty accurate for hunting. It's terminal ballistics are superb. Every varmint I've shot with it went down in its tracks. Though I cannot recommend it as a deer round, with neck shots it will drop the biggest buck with authority. Overall good to very good hunting load.
