Tula's export ammunition is made in Russia with a special emphasis on adhering to the demands of the American shooting market. As such, these rounds are appropriate for use in the AR-15, SCAR-16s, IMI Tavor, or any other rifle chambered for .223 Remington or 5.56mm NATO. Each cartridge is assembled using clean-igniting Berdan primer fitted to non-reloadable steel case which helps reduce end user costs. The steel casing bears a light polymer film for corrosion resistance alongside reduced parts wear and contains a 75 grain hollow-point projectile in its crimp.
For the .223 caliber, 75 grain bullets fit within the realm of contemporary varmint hunting and personal defense loads due to their deep penetration and devastating energy even when fired from short barrels. Upon impact, the projectile's hollow cavity will cause rapid fragmentation while the remaining body section will travel deep into the target before yawing. In effect, the round's performance drops targets more quickly with reduced risk for over-penetration.
The Tula Cartridge Plant is the oldest ammunition manufacturer in Russia and has centuries of experience providing high quantities of cartridges to military organizations. Their longevity and refined methods allow them to produce reliable ammunition at a very affordable price.
