Ive fired countless golden sabers through my Glock 30 and RIA 1911 MS. This ammo is reliable and ideal for self defense. Its my second choice to gold dots.

I prefer the 185+P version of this round for use in short-barrel compacts but I have fired this one numerous times. NEVER EVER JAMS! 100% total reliability. Hydra-shoks and Gold-dots have failed many times in my .45s but NEVER the Golden Sabers. Discussing "stopping power" and gel tests etc. is moot if the cartridge is unreliable. I totally trust Remington JHPs.

This ammo feeds through all of my 1911 mags as well as ball ammo, which is 100%. It may not expand like Federal HST or Ranger T with nasty talons, but it does expand and penetrate well. A reliable hollow point like this is what we need.

Take it from an old Combat Marine. This is the best, most trouble free ammunition available to the public. Period ! I carry it in my Glock 30 (185 Gr.), My Ruger LCP (102 Gr.) and my Colt 1911, 80 Series (230 Gr.). I bet my life on this ammunition every day!

I've seen this round run flawlessly on numerous occasions in several 1911s that are known to only like ball ammo. It's also very accurate and performs pretty well through heavy clothing.

Great ammunition at a great price. I have not shot persons or other living things with this ammo, so I cannot personally speak as to it effectiveness. But my finicky 1911 that is recommended to only shoot ball ammunition has fed this 100% reliably. Approx 250 rounds fired with zero malfunctions of any sort. Some of those rounds have been chambered and re-chambered several times and still no malfunctions.
