Each of these 7.62x39mm cartridges is loaded with a 124 grain full metal jacket (FMJ) bullet which falls within the most common weight range of the caliber. That means that these rounds maintain consistent ballistics and recoil with many hunting and personal defense loads for more effective drills and training. The FMJ projectile sits atop a non-reloadable steel casing which houses a non-corrosive Berdan primer at its base. Tula uses steel cases to lower costs and then dresses them with a light polymer film which prevents rust in storage and reduces metal-on-metal contact when firing.
