Aguila Ammo

Since 1961, Aguila has been developing and manufacturing some of the finest ammunition products available. With options for hunting, self defense, law enforcement, and target shooting, this company provides superior ammunition that meets specific needs for performance and reliability.

Where is Aguila Ammunition Made?

Aguila is headquarted in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico and they have manufacturing operations there. Through their exclusive distributor, Texas Armament and Technology, they provide world-class ammunition to American gun owners all across the country.

While Aguila is thoroughly dedicated to design and engineering, the excellence of their products starts with sourcing raw materials. They only use the best materials to create their products, resulting in superior capability and performance in the final product.

Aguila is one of the world’s largest producers of rimfire ammunition. They create rimfire under three categories: “Standard,” “Match,” and “Special,” giving target shooters and small game hunters plenty of options for pricing and performance. No matter what the category, all of Aguila’s rimfire ammunition is manufactured with ELEY Prime technology, the same system used in ammo for Olympic shooting teams. Most of the rimfire ammo available from Aguila is .22-caliber, but they do have a few 5mm options as well as a .17-caliber cartridge.

The company also makes a wide range of centerfire ammunition, organized by pistol and handgun options. Their centerfire rounds use “Non-Corr Priming,” guaranteeing reliable ignition no matter what the conditions. Their pistol and rifle products are made for accuracy and consistency, cycling flawlessly from one round to the next. Centerfire options from Aguila include the most popular cartridges, such as .38 Special, 9mm Luger, and .45 ACP.

Shotgun owners can also turn to Aguila for their ammunition products. The company has “Field,” “Competition,” “Minishell,” and “Pigeon” ammunition for shotguns. Although most of their products come in 12-gauge sizes, they do have options for 16 and 20-gauge, as well as .410 bore. The Minishell is an especially unique product. Available in 12-gauge ammo, the shell is only 1.75-inches long, giving less recoil and a quiet report. This makes the 7.5-shot load perfect for high-volume clay-pigeon shooting. They also have Minishell slug and buckshot options.

I inherited my Grandfather's rifle chambered in 5mm Remington Magnum and other family members said it was impossible to find ammunition for this rifle - they were WRONG. I have only put 30 rounds through the rifle so far but the ammunition works flawlessly and I will purchase additional ammunition for this family heirloom soon!

.75 MOA 5 shot groups at 100 yards out of my Aero Precision Solus with a 22” barrel. Everyone else blaming the ammo needs to understand that not all rifles like the same ammo, and it’s likely shooter error.
