This round is a well constructed slug. From 25 yards it penetrated four 3" thick wet phone books, and landed in the fifth.
Upon recovering the slug, the copper colored "pointed outer jacket" had fragmented off into the book. The nickel (or steel?) plated nose cone was intact in perfect form and the lead body was twisted and deformed.
I would say this slug penetrates well, has great knock down power and also frags similar to an expanding slug.
This is one round well worth picking up!
